Sun stayed hidden today, and although it was expected, the temperatures fell a few degrees short of expectations….to the tune of about 4-5 degrees.
No matter. The weekend makes up for it. But if you’re like our anchor, Kim Khazei, you have doubts about the warmup.
I get it. The winter was long, the spring has been cold, the sun elusive. However, the upcoming setup is familiar this weekend and early next week. And truth be told, we’ve been watching and waiting for this setup to come around to pounce on the opportunity and unleash 60s and 70s.
Now it’s finally here. Sunday features the warmest temperatures of the weekend and the brightest (and least windy) weather. It all culminates on a 70+ degree day Monday with another heavy dose of sun.
Front will slide by on Tuesday with a few showers, but it won’t be a pattern-breaker. Highs will still be above normal into late week.
Not to bring the house down, but there is a soaking storm brewing late next week. It spins up a lot of heavy rain and heaves it into our area by Friday. Before you go scrambling for the sump pump, keep in mind that this is spring and the long range forecasts are anything but accurate.
Now go and gussy up your grills and find the flip-flops.
Enjoy the weekend.
