Sound the fog horns…Yowza that fog is thick this morning! Warm air is trying to return to New England after a 1-day break on Sunday. This battle–warm air attempting to dislodge somewhat cooler air–is resulting in the clouds, drizzle and fog. It will be a slow battle so we’ll own the fog through late morning. In terms of the clouds, they will be tougher to dislodge….if it happens, probably not until the afternoon hours. Even with limited sunshine this afternoon, the temps will be warmer than Sunday with most towns up near 80 (temps were only near 70 yesterday). Once again, the humidity is a player for the entire day. Little to no rain for the midday-afternoon hours.
Tuesday is another warm, muggy day but relief is on the way. This relief is first in the form of scattered showers & t-storms tomorrow and then much more comfortable air by Wednesday! Tomorrow is not washed out but rather a scattering of storms most likely from 11am until 5pm. In between the storms will a mix of sun & clouds. #NoWashout.
By Wednesday drier air finally arrives and will hang with us for the remainder of the week setting the stage for some fantastic late summer weather.
Good luck with Monday!
