Street side food trucks make it quick and easy to grab a bite to eat. But how safe are they?

Here are some red flags to look for:

-No License

-Dirty Hands

-Dangling Hair

-Lukewarm Food

-Messy Sink

First thing to look for is a license. They need one to operate so the health department can track them for inspections.

Next, look to see if the employees are wearing gloves or if they have hair dangling.

Another red flag is lukewarm food. Salads and deli sandwiches should feel like they’re straight out of the fridge while soup and burgers should be piping hot.

Finally a sink piled with dishes could mean employees aren’t washing their hands.
