A Boston District Fire Chief has been fired after he was found guilty on fraud and larceny charges.
Edward A. Scigliano was fired on March 16.
He was placed on paid leave in November, 2014, when he was indicted on five counts of procurement fraud and five counts of larceny over $250.
He was found guilty on all charges on Feb. 9, 2016.
A department hearing was held at fire headquarters on March 16 with Scigliano and his lawyer. As a result of the hearing, Commissioner Joseph Finn fired Scigliano effective immediately.
