(WHDH) — A former Navy pilot who lives in New Hampshire is now speaking up about an unexplained encounter that he believes was a UFO.
Retired Commander David Fravor said he was flying his F-18 Hornet at 20,000 over the Pacific Ocean in November 2004 when he saw something flying about 50 feet above the water. Fravor described it as a “40-foot long white Tic-Tac.”
Fravor said the object then sped off. In another video from the same year, two fighter pilots saw another object that looked like a flying saucer.
“I don’t know what it was. I know what I saw and I would say that the technology was beyond anything that we’ve developed,” said Fravor.
A recent article from the New York Times said the Department of Defense spent more than $22 million from 2008 and 2012 on research into encounters like Fravor’s.
