BETHLEHEM, Conn. (AP) — Police have arrested a man in Connecticut suspected of having sexual contact with two teenage students while he worked as a counselor at a special education school.
Michael Capozzi, formerly of Bethlehem, is facing multiple charges of sexual assault, promoting a minor in an obscene performance and risk of injury to a minor.
Police say two teenage girls reported in 2016 they were sexually assaulted by a male counselor at the Arch Bridge School at Wellspring. Arch Bridge is a private school in Bethlehem for students grades 1- 12 with emotional, psychological and learning disabilities.
Police say the counselor had left the state by the time the complaint was reported.
Capozzi’s lawyer declined to comment on the case, telling the Republican-American they are only allegations.
