A former Weymouth cafeteria worker pleaded guilty Wednesday to four counts of rape of a child.
Janelle Foley, of Weymouth, was set for jury selection Wednesday. At the last minute, she pleaded guilty to raping a 15-year-old boy back in 2013. Foley was a cafeteria worker at a Weymouth middle school at the time but the teenager was not a student there. Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said the teenager was a friend of Foley’s family.
Foley, 38, received a sentence of up to four-and-a-half years in state prison, plus five years of probation with the following conditions: no contact with victim or family, no unsupervised contact with children under 18 except her own children, abstain from drugs and alcohol and no work or volunteering with children under 18, among other requirements.
Foley will also have to register as a sex offender and wear a GPS monitor after she is released.
