BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts residents and visitors can enjoy free guided hikes at state parks instead of fighting the crowds at stores this Black Friday.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation says hikes will be offered at six state parks as part of its annual “Go Green on Black Friday” campaign.

Hikers will be able to work off the turkey with trails that range from one to five miles. The hikes will be led by department staff and range from light to moderately strenuous levels of difficulty.

Hike locations include Mount Tom State Reservation in Holyoke, Bradley Palmer State Park in Topsfield, Borderland State Park in Easton and Revere Beach Reservation in Revere.
