Friends and family will prepare to say a final goodbye to the Stoneham firefighter, who was accidentally shot and killed by a friend.
David Atherton, 24, was shot by his friend as they were passing a gun around and drinking.
Visitation will be held at McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home in Stoneham Wednesday.
The funeral will be held Thursday at Saint Patrick’s Parish.
His friend was charged with involuntary manslaughter.
