There’s nothing like a good ol’ “nah’eastah” to welcome this meteorologist to Boston!  It felt like a proper “weather baptism,” and now I feel like I’m in the club.  ;c)  I joke with the 7 Weather team that my new catch phrase will be, “I’ve never seen anything like it!” – but this might become very true!  With a storm like the one we just saw, 4-6″ of rain is definitely new to me.

Heading into the weekend, conditions look much better.  It’s time to shake off all of that wet weather and get ready for the sunshine to return.  Saturday should shape up quite nicely with highs in the mid 60’s and lighter winds.  Sunday will be more seasonable, with highs in the mid to upper 50’s and the breeze will return.

We have a saying where I come from, “If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.  It will change.”  It seems that is the case here in Boston as well, with something for everyone through the next week.  A warm up to near 70 is in store for Tuesday/Wednesday, followed by a cool down in time for Halloween.  At least through the next week things look dry, with the exception of a few possible showers midday Sunday.
