A cool, crisp start to the day provides a Fall-like feel to the air that will continue throughout the day thanks to a low humidity air mass and an onshore breeze.  Highs this afternoon struggle to hit 70 at the shore and only reach the mid 70s inland.  Overall, very comfortable weather for the golf course, ball field or firing up the grill.  The breeze today is not as strong as yesterday either, so those outdoor lunch plans won’t include heavy objects to hold the napkins down.

It’s a cool one at the coast, however, if you’re heading to the beach today, the rip current risk is moderate to high across the ocean side to the Cape and the Islands.  A high surf advisory is in effect there until 2:00PM.

With high pressure overhead, clear skies, little wind and low humidity, the temps tumble tonight.  Mid 40s in the burbs to the upper 50s in the city.  A light jacket or sweatshirt might not be a bad idea to kick of Saint Anthony’s feast in the North End.

The Labor weekend overall looks ok, but not perfect.  While Saturday is completely dry, we may see a few scattered thunderstorms in here by Sunday mid to late afternoon and again on Monday.  I don’t see a washout though, so we’ll still get our dry hours in there through the second half of the weekend.  Temps run in the 70s on Saturday, mid to upper 80s Sunday and low 80s Monday.  Humidity jumps back up Sunday and Monday too.

Have a good Friday!
