In the season of fronts (fall) we have 3 on the way into New England the next 5 days and all of them being of the cold variety. This many fronts sweeping through New England is like a broom sweeping any tropical junk out to sea. We don’t have any names with storms but we do have a small storm with a hint of warm, humid air that is currently producing some showers & downpours.

This little storm of ours is moving fast, and thanks to a cool front (also moving fast), will be swept out to sea by early afternoon. That means the day is not entirely lost to rain. In fact, shades will take the place of umbrellas by afternoon. This isn’t a chilly rain either as many towns are starting the day near 60 and despite that fast moving cool front, our temps will reach the low 70s by afternoon. Even a hint of humidity will send our *feels like* temps back to early September throughout the afternoon.

Well…if I start a blog about 3 cold fronts heading this way eventually the blog will have to detail the temp trend. Down. Not to obad tomorrow or even Thursday with temps in the 60s then upper 50s on Thursday (that’s the 2nd front). On Friday the caboose of this front train swings through New England with some scattered showers but also a really cold shot of air behind it. This cold blast of air is here for the weekend with Saturday temps in the low-mid 50s but Sunday is cold. High temps (yes, even around Boston) won’t make it out of the 40s. Brrr…..looks blustery & cold for the Head of The Charles this weekend.
