How about that day we had yesterday!? Low to mid 50s and a ton of sunshine with very little wind was an excellent way to kick of a December weekend, and today looks to be another winner.
The only issue we have this morning is the patchy freezing fog we have to deal with. Notice some haze to the atmosphere? With a bit of low level moisture in place and very little wind to mix it up overnight, patches of fog formed as that moisture cooled and condensed. As those tiny droplets hit surfaces that are below freezing, it can create a little bit of black ice on the front steps and sidewalks and driveways, so careful of that first step early this morning.
We won’t have much of an issue shaking off the fog and haze this morning and as temperatures jump from the 20s at 7am in the burbs to the 40s by 10am, the heavy frost will have no problem thawing out. From the 40s at mid morning to the mid to upper 50s by mid afternoon, overall, it’ll turn out to be another stellar December day. FORE!!!!
If you’re tailgating at Gillette, expect upper 50s pre game, low 50s at kickoff and low 40s by game’s end.
It’s another mild day tomorrow too, mid to upper 50s.
We’ll see more clouds and a northerly breeze on Tuesday as temperatures are much closer to seasonal levels, in the mid 40s. However, the ocean storm that develops south of us looks to stay far enough out to sea, that we’ll stay mainly dry.
A few showers may roll through Thursday, otherwise, we’re looking at milder temps working back in to end the week and hold through next weekend again with highs well into the 50s again by next weekend.
Go Pats!!!!!!!!!!!!
