LANCASTER, N.H. (AP) — A girl has suffered fatal injuries after being thrown from a horse during a show in Lancaster, New Hampshire.

Lancaster Fair president Edward Samson said Saturday the girl was injured when she was thrown from the horse around 4 p.m. Friday. He says she was participating in the White Mountains Riding Club Horse Show at the fair.

The girl was taken to a hospital where she later died. Her name and age have not been released.

Last year, a Vermont man and his 6-year-old daughter were killed when a storm blew through the fairgrounds, toppling a tent during a circus show. Fifty other people were hurt.
