A Good Samaritan rescued a kitten whose paws were frozen to a metal fence in Dorchester, according to the MSPCA.

The Good Samaritan used warm water to free the kitten from the metal wire of the fence.

The kitten was then taken to the emergency room at the MSPCA’s Angell Animal Medical Center, where he was given warm blankets and pain medicine.

The kitten, who came to be known as “Ralphie”, has since been adopted.
