BOSTON (WHDH) — The Government Center MBTA station will not be closing down for renovations until the Callahan Tunnel re-opens next spring.
It was going to close down in the fall for a two-year project to overhaul the station.
With the Callahan Tunnel set to shut down from December to March, MassDOT officials pushed back the closing to avoid major headaches for commuters.
