BOSTON (WHDH) - Service has resumed on the Green Line after a derailed green line trolley caused severe delays during rush hour Friday morning.
The derailment happened shortly before 9 a.m.
According to MassDOT, the first of the two-car train had reached the platform while the second car had not.
Customers on board the second car were escorted to the platform.
There were more than 200 people on the train.
The Green Line was suspended between Haymarket and Park Street.
Service has since resumed with severe residual delays.
Customers were urged to take the Orange line between Downtown Crossing and Haymarket.
