ALLSTON, MASS. (WHDH) - A tight squeeze on the Green Line sent a young girl to the hospital, prompting an investigation.
The 8-year-old’s arm got stuck in the door of a trolley, and the operator of that trolley is now off the job.
Monday night, the girl was getting off the trolley at the Harvard Avenue stop on Commonwealth Ave when the door closed and the girl’s hand got stuck.
Riders said they were shocked to hear about the incident.
The T said the girl suffered cuts, her wrist was swollen. She was taken to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
The T said it is now investigating, but the trolley operator was fit for duty and there was no obvious mechanical problem.
The operator is out of service with officials investigate.
