EAST BRIDGEWATER, MASS. (WHDH) - A grandma from East Bridgewater has been having a ball while cheering on her grandchildren at their Pee Wee league football games, and the energy is contagious.

Shirley Finch can often be found grooving in the stands, going above and beyond when cheering on the sidelines during East Bridgewater Vikings games.

“I don’t know, I just get very pumped up when I’m there, when I see them and they’re just doing so great – I’m so proud of the whole team,” Finch told 7NEWS.

The grandmother of ten is one of the team’s biggest fans. Her two grandsons, 11-year-old Liam and 12-year-old Jordan, play for the team, which Finch says she is all about supporting.

And she isn’t the only one dancing at the games, either. Finch said she often manages to get other fans on their feet, even getting a referee to join in last weekend.

“He came running up, right behind me, and I was clapping him on and he was loving it!” she recounted.

The grandmother said she will be at the league’s Super Bowl game to hopefully cheer on the Vikings to a big win this coming weekend, and she might not be alone on the gridiron dance floor.

“Actually, one of the mothers, the football moms, told me to give them a playlist before Sunday,” Finch joked.

The Vikings are scheduled to take on Silver Lake on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m. at East Bridgewater High School.
