HANOVER, MASS. (WHDH) - Selectman in Hanover are indefinitely suspending the license of a kennel where a dog was attacked earlier this month.
The decision was made at a heated meeting Monday night.
The town began investigating the Briarwood Kennel after a dog staying at the kennel was mauled by another dog in July.
The 3-year-old Goldendoodle named Ben was allegedly attacked by the kennel owner’s dog in July.
An investigation found that Ben was bitten 400 times and died a day later.
There will be a public hearing to determine if the kennel’s license will be permanently revoked after a criminal animal cruelty case against the kennel’s owner is resolved.
