The president of Harpoon Brewery has stepped down from his post at a Harvard club after making controversial remarks about sexual assault.
Charles Storey, a 1982 Harvard graduate, was president of the Porcellian Club, a final club for male students only. Recently, there have been calls to make final clubs co-ed but Storey said keeping them male-only would reduce the potential of sexual assaults.
"As a man who takes issues of sexual assault extremely seriously, I am disappointed in myself," Storey said in a letter to his employees. "I love this company and all of you and I deeply regret that I have brought this situation upon us."
