A dangerous trend of drinking hand sanitizer is sending children and teenagers to the hospital.
The Poison Control Center said 153 of alcohol poisoning by hand sanitizer have been called in already this year.
About half of the cases involve infants under the age of 1. Some doctors believe that the bright packaging and colors of the hand sanitizer leads babies and young children to drink it. However, teenagers are posting videos online of them drinking it on a dare.
Hand sanitizers are as much as 95 percent alcohol and does not take much for children and teenagers to start showing symptoms of being drunk.
