Thousands of the world's top scientists are in Washington D.C. this week to present their latest findings on Alzheimer's disease.

Several of the new studies focus on early diagnosis of Alzheimer's, even before symptoms begins.

Scientists from Johns Hopkins found six measures that best predict cognitive impairment, including specific memory tests and brain scans. A smaller study also found that several proteins found in a patient's saliva could also identify their risk.
