Just a handful of pistachios a day could help reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes, according to a study out of Spain.

Researchers had half of a study group add two ounces of pistachios a day to their diet, while the other half added olive oil and other fats.

Four months later, only the pistachio group had significant drops in blood sugar and insulin levels, as well as improvements in insulin and glucose processing.
