Strong winds and high surf struck Cape Cod during a powerful winter storm on Monday.

In Sandwich, strong winds and surf pounded the beach. Several storm watchers  parked their cars in the parking lot, watching the storm over the water.

In Falmouth, blizzard conditions hit the community, according to the National Weather Service.

High tide caused flooding concerns around Town Neck Beach. Town officials said they were also concerned about beach erosion. A project was completed two weeks ago to restore the beach after another storm washed away 8 feet of shoreline.
