DARTMOUTH, MASS. (WHDH) - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) apologized to drivers after a sign with erroneous information was spotted in Dartmouth.

The highway sign reads “Cod Cape” instead of “Cape Cod.” MassDOT said the sign was installed on Nov. 15.

“The Massachusetts Department of Transportation apologizes to motorists, visitors and local residents for the posting of a state highway sign that included erroneous information,” MassDOT said in a statement. “The District is in the process of reviewing all signage to ensure it is accurate and that this does not happen again.”
