This is what campaigns are about:  Give and take; movement up and down, and momentum.

And we have all of them in the newest numbers from our exclusive tracking poll.

Today’s biggest winners:  Republican Marco Rubio and Democrat Hillary Clinton.

In the Republican race, Trump trumps the field, with 36% (down 2 overnight); Marco Rubio is second, with 15 % (a gain of three).  Ted Cruz, third, 14% (no change). Jeb Bush, 8% (down one); and John Kasich 7% (also no change).

he rest of the Republicans are barely hanging on:

Chris Christie, 5% (down one from yesterday); Ben Carson 4% (up one); Carly Fiorina 3% (unchanged), and undecided 8% (up two)

The tracking poll measures momentum. Donald Trump is where he’s always been–on top!–but, it’s the first time he’s dropped in our poll.

Marco Rubio moves up in second place, and

Ted Cruz falls back into third place.

In the Democratic race, Hillary Clinton can start thinking Clintons and comebacks go together in New Hampshire.

Bernie Sanders still has a significant lead over Clinton,  58% to 36%–but he’s down three and she’s up four!

Now look at the direction of the tracks:  There’s still a big gap, but it’s getting smaller.

You see the trends, and so will the candidates.

They’re good for Clinton, Rubio and Trump…And not very good for anyone else.

Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump may win their primaries, both are losing ground right now.
