This is one of my favorite Election Days, because I don’t know how it’s going to end.

I don’t know who the next Governor of Massachusetts will be, or who will win the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire.

I can argue both races both ways.

I can see Charlie Baker surviving a smelly fish story and bringing two party government back to Beacon Hill.

But I also can imagine the Democratic get-out-the-vote machine working its magic and putting Martha Coakley on top.

In New Hampshire, Scott Brown could ride an anti-President Obama wave back to the U.S. Senate.

Or Jeanne Shaheen’s personal popularity could be just enough to keep her from drowning in that wave.

When people ask me who’s going to win a race, I don’t think they think I have a crystal ball, I think they think see the candidates campaigning, and closely follow the races closely.

And that’s true!

But, this time, when I add up everything I know, I don’t know who’s going to win tonight and I can’t wait to find out
