HOLYOKE, MASS. (WHDH) - A six-hour standoff between a man in Holyoke and police has ended.

It happened on Upland Road.

The man is believed to be a 26-year-old army veteran.

He was armed with several rifles.

Officers eventually shot the man with beanbag rounds.

The man was sent to the hospital to be checked out.

Police said there was no one else in the house.
