HARDWICK, MASS. (WHDH) - A two-family home in Hardwick went up in flames early Tuesday in Hardwick.

Multiple fire departments nearby raced to Lower Road to help put out the flames.

One woman was flown to a Boston hospital, officials said.

“On arrival, there was heavy fire at the front side of the building,” said Hardwick Fire Chief Josh Pease.

Crews brought in heavy machinery to tear down the charred home.

A crane was used to rip the roof off of the burning home.
