HOOKSETT, N.H. (WHDH) — A Hooksett, New Hampshire teacher has been charged with indecent exposure and lewdness.
James Fox, 55, is a second grade teacher at the Fred C. Underhill School. Police said he exposed himself to a woman at his condo complex in Hooksett.
On April 25, police said they received a report from a reporting that a man had exposed himself to her. Police said Fox and the victim live in close vicinity to each other.
Fox turned himself in on an arrest warrant Thursday. He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned on June 8.
The school sent a letter to parents saying, “Please be advised that Mr. Fox has been removed from his professional responsibilities. We always place the well-being of our students above all other matters.” Some parents told 7News that they only know Fox as a good teacher who always goes above and beyond for his students.
Hooksett School Superintendent Charles Littlefield said that no incidents involving Fox happened at school and did not involve any students. Police are asking anyone that may have had similar interactions with Fox to contact Det. Lombardo at 624-1560 x317.
