Two straight days of excessive heat & oppressive humidity—-I'm good….lol…..Now, I'm NOT rooting for cold & snow (yet) but temps in the low/mid 80s with low humidity is my summer weather wheelhouse. That is heading this way….after today.

Today does offer more heat & humidity across much of southern New England with many cities & towns reaching 90. For towns such as Fitchburg, Taunton, Framingham & Norwood that means an official heat wave. I think for Boston it's close but no cigar with a sea breeze expected to keep temps in the 80s for the day (The city hasn't seen a heat wave since summer 2013!). A cool front will put an end to this heat wave debate this evening as drier & more comfortable air sweeps in from Canada. This front will also pop some scattered showers/storms this evening with the timing of these storms likely between 6-10pm–not to say it rains for 4 straight hours because it won't but IF you are to see any storms it would occur sometime within that 4-hour window.

In any event, starting tomorrow and lasting into the weekend is a large bubble of dry, comfortable air. Just about ideal summer weather on tap—-low 80s & low humidity with comfortable sleeping weather.
