Back into the heat & humidity as High Pressure sets up shop south of New England. Many cities & towns are up near 90, 3rd time in 10 days! Early September heat isn’t that unusual (September 11th, 2013 Boston hit 97!) but like Tuesday it will be humidity that is with us—now that is unusual for September. Great late summer day for the golf courses, pools (the ones that are open) and the beaches.

The weekend is still looking mainly dry…the only exception will be a 7 hour window of some scattered thunderstorms Saturday evening. Those storms are tied to a cool front which will move through New England between 5pm-midnight tomorrow night. Out ahead of this front temps will run up into the mid/upper 80s as well as oppressive humidity. Most of the day is fine for outdoor activities but after 5pm watch out for some scattered strong storms. Thankfully, this front is well offshore by Sunday and so is the excessive heat & humidity. Temps on Sunday afternoon finish near normal—mid 70s.

This cool front will be hundreds of miles away from south Florida so if you are flying south for the Pats game plan on temps near 90 & high humidity. Go Pats! Have a great weekend!
