WALPOLE, MASS. (WHDH) - Walpole police are investigating after a woman was fatally struck by a car on Tuesday evening.
Officers responding to reports of the crash near 832 East St. shortly before 6 p.m. found a woman who had been struck by a car and was suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to Walpole police.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was transported to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
East Street was closed in both directions for about two hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
