Hundreds of people paid their respects Sunday at a wake for a police officer from Massachusetts who was killed in the line of duty in Virginia.
The wake for 28-year-old Officer Ashley Guindon was held in Agawam. Among those who attended the wake were many of her fellow police officers from across the country.
Guindon, who was from Springfield, was shot and killed while responding to a domestic violence in Woodbridge, Virginia. It was her first day on the job as a police officer.
Guindon will be laid to rest in West Springfield after her funeral Monday.
