I set up a twitter poll this morning ( www.twitter.com/jreineron7 ) to find out if you would rather have a bitter cold/snow winter if it meant a sunny/mild spring OR a mild/snowless winter if it meant a cool, wet spring…..as of 6pm there have been 384 votes and the results are 50/50. It is an interesting debate (imo) and for me–I would prefer a cold winter/mild spring over a mild winter/chilly spring. Discuss amongst yourselves.

Here we are on May 4th–Star Wars Day and the temps are in the 40s with more rain right now. I think I’d rather blog about how amazing Episode 1 (The Phantom Menace) really is. Episode 1 brought us Jar Jar Binks….Midichlorians…and outstanding dialogue like "Many things will change when we reach the capital, Ani, but my caring for you will remain" –Padme Amidala….oh and let’s not forget the Trade Federation and the political strife it caused the Republic.

On second thought……let’s talk about this cool & rainy pattern for just a bit. We are still under the influence of Low Pressure and this Low Pressure will wobble north from Virginia late tonight & pass east of New England tomorrow. You can plan on clouds, drizzle, mist & showers once again tomorrow. Best chance of the steady rain tomorrow will be during the afternoon and located along the coast. Most towns pick up between .25-.50" of rain by tomorrow night. As this storm is passing east of New England, wind will kick up along the coast–gusting from the northeast around 25-30 mph…a real winner. Temps are cold & raw, pinned down into the 40s all day. Grab some tacos & margarita’s after work! #CincoDeMayo

Friday and Saturday sees some improvement with the chance of rain very low—like 10-20% and even some sunshine both days. Even with limited sun, temps on Friday (and again on Saturday) should reach the mid 50s…even low 60s well inland. Mother’s Day does see a renewed chance of rain but only scattered showers late morning through early afternoon—no washout. Sunshine returns in full force early next week.

May the force be with you.
