BOSTON (WHDH) - Boston police are investigating after a man was stabbed near Downtown Crossing Friday evening.
First responders arriving to the scene near 79 Temple Place found the victim suffering from serious injuries and transported him to a local hospital.
His condition has not been released.
A woman who heard the commotion rushed over to help and recounted the startling scene to 7NEWS.
“I jumped in between the ambulance, they had him on the stretcher and I took my hoodie off and there was a lot of blood. And I put compressions on him and told him, ‘Just keep breathing,'” she said. “And he looked right at me and I told him, ‘Keep breathing.’ And it’s really emotional right now because I have his blood on me and I don’t even know if he’s going to make it. But I tried. I tried…”
