"Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez made a special offer to a fan over Twitter last week, offering one of her Golden Globes gowns to the girl to wear to prom this year.
Jessica Casanova tweeted Rodriguez about the navy blue Zac Posen gown she wore to the awards show last month, saying she would love to wear it to prom. While Rodriguez does not own the blue gown, she does own the black Badgley Mischka dress she wore to last year’s Golden Globes. She responded to Casanova, offering her that one instead.
The two worked out an agreement and Casanova called wearing Rodriguez’s gown to her prom a "dream come true." Another fan joked that Rodriguez could start a chain of passing her gown around to fans and Rodriguez replied that it was something she was talking about while on the "Jane the Virgin" set.
