Actor John Goodman has been cast to play former Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis in an upcoming movie about the Boston Marathon bombing.

The movie, titled "Patriots Day," will depict the events surrounding the 2013 bombing of the Boston Marathon, according to CBS Films.

CBS Films will produce the movie.
