The judge in the Stanford rape case has been dismissed from a different sexual assault trial, by the area’s District Attorney.

The DA says he wasn’t confident Judge Aaron Persky could fairly oversee the hearing.

Persky recently sentenced former Stanford student, Brock Turner, to six months in jail.

After a jury convicted him of raping a 23-year-old woman while she was unconscious.

The sentence sparked international outrage.

The DA says he has not ruled out removing the judge from other upcoming cases.
