ALFRED, Maine (AP) — A judge hopes to soon wrap up jury selection in the trial of the business partner of a Zumba instructor accused of using her Maine dance studio as a front for prostitution.

Justice Nancy Mill says she's planning for opening statements to begin Wednesday in the trial of insurance agent Mark Strong Sr. in York County Superior Court.

Jury selection continued Wednesday morning after a lawyer for The Portland Press Herald asked the judge to open the proceedings. Justice Nancy Mills kept her rules in place, and jurors continued to be questioned behind closed doors.

Strong faces 59 misdemeanor counts including conspiring with fitness instructor Alexis Wright, as well as invasion of privacy because some videos may have been made of unsuspecting clients. Both Strong and Wright have pleaded not guilty.
