Temperatures are staying in the seasonable range this weekend. What does that mean? Around 50, give or take. We may, in fact, take from that tomorrow, but give a little back on Sunday.

After a solid 1" to 1"+ of rain last night, we’re in a good spot with the drought. Oddly, that was our biggest storm threat over the next 7-10 days, keeping Thanksgiving week pleasant for traveling and – if the warming trend continues – limited outdoor activities.

Can’t believe I just typed that. Last year’s big storm was a headache for many as the winds howled and the power went out in many spots. This year, we can’t even put together an all day rain. The ‘storm zone’ has shifted to the Midwest in the next 7-10 days. Two snowstorms may threaten – one this weekend, and another Thanksgiving week.

As far as the seasonable temperatures, those days are numbered. As the storms form in the Midwest, they’ll jack up the jet stream and flood the East with warmth right through Turkey Day.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, when the pattern is quiet, the forecast confidence is high. This is exactly the situation for next week.

Enjoy the weekend and GOOOOOOO BC!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pete
