Keolis, the company that runs the Commuter Rail, is giving Conductors and Assistant Conductors 400 iPhones.
This is so they can keep passengers better informed. They will get real-time information that passengers often have before the drivers.
The iPhones will only be used with the Keolis Apps that are programmed into them. The iPhones will not be able to go online or make personal phone calls.
They will be passing out the iPhones over the next few days and then training conductors on how to use them properly.
Passengers said it is a good idea.
