Kohl’s Department stores announced Thursday that it will close 18 underperforming stores. The chain said the specific stores to be closed will be announced by the end of March.
The stores are said to represent less than one percent of Kohl’s total sales.
The company also announced it will open seven smaller format stores in various regions around the country.
This is the first time in the company’s 52-year history that it’s closing multiple stores at a time.
