NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. (WHDH) -

Numerous outdoor industries and services have been making do with recent hot weather, including landscapers who have lawns to mow even as the sun bears down on New England with temperatures pushing deep into the 90s.

Keeping cool has been a priority for crews such Landscape Solutions, a landscaping company that could be seen working their mowers Wednesday. For Brady Stack, keeping cool means trying to keep the heat off one’s mind.

“You don’t really think too much about it, because I think if you think about it, then it starts to get hot and you’re like ‘Aw, man, 97 degrees, here we are,'” Stack said. “You kinda just go with the flow, do it as you can.”

Both Brady and co-worker Jordan Oligny told 7NEWS they have dealt with summer scorchers before, but that this week has been a little extreme. For them, any respite is welcome.

“You go fast, you go as fast as you can to try and just catch a breeze, like any breeze that you can,” Oligny said.

That, and drink plenty of water, which Oligny added is promptly sweated back out.

Crews have also been trying to start work earlier in the day to finish earlier, in order to dodge the worst of the heat around midday. It will likely be a necessity for the rest of the week, with forecasts indicating high temperatures are sticking around for a while.

“A few more days of this and my reaction is go home and go in the pool and not think about it until tomorrow,” Brady said.
