A large fire consumed a home in Billerica Friday evening.
Lots of smoke and flames could be seen at the house, which was under construction.
The fire occurred on Sheridan Street just before 6:00 p.m., and it was fueled by high winds. Flames even jumped to a nearby home, causing damage to that home.
Four other homes were also damaged by the fire.
"Before I even got to the street, the house was fully engulfed," 911 caller Jack Conroy said. "We could smell smoke and I ran to the front door with the phone in my hand, dialing 911."
Several departments arrived on scene to battle the flames.
Nine people have been displaced due to the fire, but nobody was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
