A large tree fell in a Wellesley family’s front yard on Tuesday toppling power lines.

High winds and the storm uprooted the tree causing a transformer to explode and power lines to fall.

The incident happened on Upway Road at around 6 p.m.

Power poles nearby also snapped.

"We heard a loud crash and a flash of light from the transformer" said witness Max Hano.

Neighbors say a babysitter and three kids were home at the time of the incident.

Nobody was injured.
