Washoe City, Nevada (NBC) — Sections of Nevada have gone up in flames.

The “Little Valley Fire” has burned more than three thousand acres and destroyed 22 homes.

The governor there has declared a state of emergency.

Officials there are calling this the most destructive fire in the area this year.

Hundreds of firefighters from all over the region are collaborating to battle the flames

As of last night the fire was only twenty percent contained.

It is still not clear the exact cause of the fire.
