BOSTON (WHDH) - Lawmakers are pushing a bill to create a National First Responders Day.
It would be a public holiday to honor the men and women who risk their lives for people everyday.
Officials have been working on the bill with the family of Sean Collier, the MIT officer who was shot and killed by the Boston Marathon bombers.
Lawmakers say they are not sure what day it would be.
