BOSTON (AP) — Gov. Charlie Baker has a pile of paperwork to go through after the Legislature wrapped up its two-year session with a flurry of weekend action.

Working against a Sunday deadline for ending formal meetings, lawmakers reached agreement on several major bills that are now on the Republican governor’s desk. Among them are regulations for ride-hailing services such as Uber and Lyft; ambitious new goals for development of renewable energy sources; and a wide-ranging plan for modernizing municipal government.

Also approved was a bill requiring insurance coverage for a disfiguring condition associated with HIV treatment.

But several other proposals fell by the wayside. Lawmakers, for example, could not reach agreement on a bill that called for limits on non-compete employment contracts. They also declined to tax online lodging services such as Airbnb.
